Death & the Derriere – Why Are Women Risking Their Lives for a Rounder Rump?

Almost a year ago, six women from Essex, New Jersey learned that plus-size model and skin care line owner Anivia Cruz-Dilworth could instantly deliver curves that usually only come via a high-carb diet or an extremely expensive plastic surgeon.
What they didn’t know is that they were signing up for a game of Russian Roulette courtesy of a syringe filled with bathtub caulking. Labeling herself a “trained professional”, Cruz-Dilworth’s procedure not only delivered the curves she promised, but came complete with a visit to the emergency room to treat bacterial infections caused by a substance that Cruz-Dilworth represented as “hydro-gel”. Cruz-Dilworth made house calls and performed the butt-enhancement procedures which she charged $650-$1250 for in her private home where she would “use a syringe, mark them, inject them and use Krazy Glue to seal it,” according to a story published in the Star-Ledger. Multiple surgeries later, many of the women are questioning if having a big booty was really worth risking their lives.
Former Miss Argentina beauty, Solange Magnano lost her life after suffering from a pulmonary embolism that resulted from a procedure that involved injections that were meant provide a more buxom behind. The “butt lift” procedure was performed in a clinic in Buenos Aires that allegedly performed an average of 15 similar procedures a day.
If these women are the first time you heard of women bending over backwards for the booty, it probably won’t be the last. This past February ,Claudia Aderotimi, an aspiring hip-hop dancer from London, died after a botched booty-enhancement procedure performed in a Philadelphia hotel room by a singer who goes by the name of “Black Madam”. When Aderotimi complained of chest pains and shortness of breath, accompanying friends who received hip injections, said they experienced no medical complications.
Gluteoplasty is the medical term for the popular “Brazilian Butt Lift” procedure that involves transferring fat from the abdomen or other part of the body that is harvested and then purified and injected into the buttocks. Butt implants are the most permanent of butt enhancers and are elastomer implants that are inserted into the butt through a small incision. Hydrogel butt injections are solutions that are made of 97% water and 3% polymer additives. Results can last up to a year, but the hydrogel runs a risk of infection that may leave you in the hospital for much of that time. The procedure is often performed illegally by people presenting themselves as medical professionals, but injecting the backsides of women covertly in hotel rooms.
The business of butt enhancement is booming and women are running to their nearest “qualified professional” and paying for an illegal procedure often performed by someone who can barely use a band-aid correctly let alone possess a medical degree. Why are we now in a competition of the most inflated cakes? In the early 80′s African-American women often threw shade at Caucasian women who ran to their nearest plastic surgeon to have silicon sacs inserted into their chests in order to measure up to a beauty standard set by Playboy bunnies. Decades later, many women are looking to a standard set by the Amber Rose’s, Nicki Minaj’s and video vixens of the hip-hop industry, often ending up with looks that resemble only caricatures of black beauty with backsides that aren’t proportional to the rest of their shape.

ANY FOOL THAT GOES UNDER THE KNIFE OR HAVE THEMSELVES INJECTED WITH ARTIFICIAL SUBSTANCES TO MEET SOME SILLY STANDARD OF BEAUTY DESERVES WHATEVER THEY GET. IF YOU HAVE A BIRTH DEFECT OR SOME PHYSICAL DEFORMITY THATS ONE THING, BUT CHASING AFTER SOME VAIN CONCEPT OF PHYSICAL BEAUTY IS PATHETIC.

As superficial and shallow as it is, Men put such emphasis on having a big booty. And women will follow suit, just to get some misplaced attention.
We all need to improve our self- esteem. Love yourself, no matter what anybody says. God gave it to you and don't let anyone take it away from you. Be different and unique.
If a guy is initially interested - only physically - in you before you open your mouth, BEWARE.
